Douglas County Corrections Facility holds open house, allows public to tour facility.

The Douglas County Corrections Facility held an open house on Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th. The open house allowed the county to show off their new control system. Six Commander touch screens control the system. Actions within the jail are logged with the Informer data logging module. The 40+ proximity card readers are controlled with the Gatekeeper access control system. Visitation is efficiently handled by integrator's video visitation module, also known as the Visimate. With the Visimate, detention grade video visitation boxes are placed near the inmates while public stations are placed outside the security envelope, eliminating the need to transport inmates.
